Nature as an inspiration in the design process.
The course of the summer BIODESIGN is a program of learning immersive in Nature, in the Natural Park of Networks, in Asturias.
Rethinking the processes of design to lead us to solutions of circularity to help us achieve a sustainable future for all. This paradigm shift happens by encouraging creativity and eco-innovation, research materials more compatible with the environment, explore the new manufacturing systems in ways that help us to prototype in an agile manner, our ideas, get closer to Nature with greater depth, to learn how to observe, study and imitate their morphology and processes, are solutions that will allow us to face the challenges of today.
Through different capsules training we will understand what is biomimicry, what are its applications and its working methodology. We will learn to look at Nature with curiosity, and from the creative experimentation to find alternatives in the design process. Taking Nature as a model, it makes us rethink and rethink the future of design, using alternatives to the traditional production processes.
Why look to Nature?
Creemos que para avanzar hacia sociedades ecológicamente sostenibles el primer paso es concienciar a las personas acerca de los problemas y las consecuencias que generan nuestras demandas y dinámicas de consumo actuales. Como consumidores, somos el problema y también la solución, pues tenemos el poder de cambiar nuestra forma de consumir y de frenar los desechos y residuos que generamos.
Mankind must face up to a major transformation and change its relationship with Nature, through greater social and ecological consciousness.
The design is a powerful tool for carrying out this transformation, we propose environments for experimentation, looking for narratives to seek a better future. A new way of thinking about the processes of creating, innovating in the resolution of the design challenges of a sustainable, circular and regenerative, using Nature as a guide.
Who is it for?
BIODESIGN is aimed at those explorers who want to lead transformation projects, with a global vision and interdisciplinary, taking into account the bases of sustainable development.
Students and professionals who have concerns and interest in and to integrate new methodologies in the creation and execution of projects of all creative disciplines, especially those related to the design, architecture, product design and furniture, graphic design, engineering, jewelry making, fashion design and art.

WEEK 2, Biodigitalización: 18 to 24 July 2022
The course price includes Accommodation, 7 days, 6 nights or 14 days, 13 nights.
Breakfast, lunch and dinner.
All the materials, you will have access to our workshop and tools.
Tutoring with the technical staff, we will help to carry out any idea.
Guided tours in the Natural Park of Networks.
Complementary activities, yoga, astronomy, mindfulness, etc

Where?
The summer course will be held in the facilities of the Laboratory Biomimetic in Ladines, specifically in direct contact with the Nature of the Natural Park of Redes, a laboratory that fosters creativity and immersion in the natural environment and the new technologies.
